Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update: Parking Lot Worship

The work of the Christiania Re-Engagement Team is coming to completion. Thank you, team, for creating the “guidelines and guardrails” that will serve to minimize risk and guide our re-engagement. We should continue to keep in mind, however, that the Covid 19 virus is still alive and active and we may need to continue to pivot or make adjustments as needed. Gathering together will be wonderful but will come with increased risk so we continue to follow the recommendations of both the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). Our church council plans to meet this week and is expected to approve the plan so we can begin to re-engage. Provided the plan is app

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update

Our Re-Engagement Committee is planning for us to get back together very soon. They are creating the “guidelines and guardrails” that will keep us safe when we begin to meet in person once again.  They are putting together specific policies and procedures for our staff, for small group meetings that are held at the church, and for worship services and larger events (both indoor and outdoor) that are held at the church or on the church grounds. One of the first steps required to reopen is formulating and documenting a comprehensive plan for our church to follow. It turns out there are many details and processes to be considered, of which, some will be followed and others will be set aside. "Thank you" re-engagement team; about a dozen Christiania members who are diligently working to document our the

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update: Re-engagement Team

A group of our church leaders has begun to meet to plan for the reopening of the church and the resumption of services in a manner that will keep us safe. They are reviewing the latest guidance provided to churches by Governor Walz and the Minnesota Department of Health. The team includes a number of health professionals and will establish the ‘guidelines and guardrails’ for what reopening the building, worshiping, and engaging in face-to-face ministry may look like. Their initial areas of focus will include defining the social distancing and cleaning procedures related to worship services, small group gatherings, and staff/office meetings. The group will create a COVID-19 Response Plan that
