We're so thankful the new State of Minnesota Executive Order allows specific types of church gatherings and we're as excited as many of you are to get back together. However, we want to do it safely and thoughtfully especially because so many in our midst are at greater risk. So please be patient; Covid-19 is still a real risk and there are many details and processes we'll need in place keep us safe as we begin to gather together. We are watching with anticipation as the new Minnesota executive order allows for specific types of small gatherings. A new leadership team, which includes a number of health professionals, is meeting this week to establish ‘guidelines and guardrails’ for what reopening the building, worshiping, and engaging in face-to-face ministry may look like. I expect our initial focal points will be worship, small groups, and staff with priorities on the repeated processes for cleaning and distancing that will keep us safe. I am so proud of you. The people of Christiania have stepped up in these days of Coronavirus. As God’s people we are exhibiting great flexibility and adaptability. Against substantial challenges, we kept up the good fight. Our pews are empty, but our people have been deployed. Christiania is being church out in the world. My friends, we are alive and we have adjusted our ministries and life together in ways too numerous to count. Staff and leaders have served us well. Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update

In accordance with Executive Order 20-20 issued by Governor Tim Walz, the church office and building remain closed. Staff continues to serve; you can reach them via email and phone. Members of the congregation approved the acceptance of a forgivable Payroll Protection Plan (PPP) loan in the amount of $56,283.58 at a special “virtual” Congregational Meeting that took place at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, May 3.  Thank you to everyone who helped to plan and carry out the meeting and a special thank you to everyone who attended and participated.
