CLC Women
The best description of the CLCW would be a support group. We support one another, the congregation, our prayer chain includes the community and our labors are directed toward fellowship in our community and mission beyond our doors.
The women’s group meets monthly for Bible study using the magazine “Lutheran Woman Today”. A business meeting is held after the study if needed.
The CLCW (Christiania Lutheran Church Women) has always been focused on mission and support. We contribute to international, national, metropolitan and local charities.
We sponsor the annual Norwegian Supper in October and rely on the help of the entire congregation for this event. Please refer to the Norwegian Supper picture gallery for pictures of our last event.
We serve lunch and soup suppers during Lent. Arrangements for funeral lunches are handled by the CLCW. A fee schedule is available from the pastor when arranging a funeral.
There is a small but dedicated group of quilters who meet monthly to make tied quilts for local shelters and emergency relief needs. For more information on quilting, click here.
In commemoration of the 150th Anniversary of Christiania, the CLCW published a recipe book of the recipes submitted by the ladies of Christiania. Books are available to purchase by contacting the church office. For a preview, click here.
