Christiania’s First Annual Men’s Fishing Weekend

Eight men from Christiania and one guest enjoyed a relaxing weekend at Bay Lake Camp just north of Mille Lacs Lake.

Bay Lake Camp is a beautiful church camp on an island owned by First Lutheran Church in St. Paul.

The fishing was great!  Crappies, Sunfish and Bass. Enough for a meal at the camp and more to take home.

The accommodations were great!  Spacious, clean, modern rooms in a lodge.  A meeting room and even a gathering room with a fireplace for our Bible study and reflection.

The food was great!  From blueberry and cranberry pancakes for breakfast to grill brats for lunch to their famous bbq chicken for dinner.  A new dining room where food was served buffet style.  You never went hungry.

The fellowship was great!  Getting to know each other in an informal setting. Sharing  and reflecting in Bible study and enjoying an outdoor service by the lake; complete with a baptism and Pastor Dave preaching.

We are already anticipating next year’s fishing trip and hoping many more will join us.
