Christiania Garden
 |
You’re wondering what the vegetables represent, aren’t you?
The Missions Commission has started a Christiania Garden as a way to tap the farming heritage and interest of many of our members, and help local Food Shelves at the same time.
|
The garden was very successful. Over 900 lbs of veggies were donated to the food shelves along with
$365 in cash collected from donations from the congregation from food from the garden. Donations were made to both the Lakeville and Burnsville
food shelves because they are close to each other and we have too many
tomatoes for one food shelf (averaging 100 lbs a week). The results are way
beyond what I ever expected from this garden. It's so KOOL (from Bertie
Mohling)
-The Missions Commission

A crew of 7 people braved the cold on to get the garden planted. We will be praying for favorable growing conditions .

| And the garden grows! Soon harvesting will begin. Thanks for the hard work of Bertie Mohling and the crews! |

May the Christiania Garden be this productive!
